Your probation officer decides whether to handle the matter with or without the court’s involvement. If your probation officer decides to involve the court an official violation of probation notice will be filed with the court. You will then receive a notice to appear or a warrant will be issued for your arrest. A hearing will be set to hear evidence on the probation violation.
